I went into my college career having no idea what I wanted to do or be, which is one of the reasons that I chose to attend the liberal arts college, Eastern Connecticut State University. I chose to attend ECSU because I fell in love with the campus the first time I set foot on it and it offered a wide array of majors for me to choose from.
It was at the end of my sophomore year that I decided that I wanted to be an English major and communication minor, so I could hopefully break into the world of publishing after I graduate. This decision was based on the fact that I love to read and write. The reason I added a communication minor is because of my new found love for photography. I found that while digital photography is by far easier and more convenient, that the process of taking black and white film photos and watching them go through each step was magical. I also thought that a communication minor would help me get a job after graduation, because it helps my communication skills and that is a set of skills that can be applied to any job.
So while I started college with no idea what my goals were besides good grades, I have now arrived in a place where I not only know what I want from life, but also a plan on how to get it. This plan can be viewed in more details in the mission statement sub page under the about section.
