Art 212 Art History II:1400 To Present

Course Description:

Surveys the history of visual art from 1400 to present from a multicultural perspective. Examines the subject matter and visual characteristics (style) of art works and the social/historical context in which the works were produced in order to understand their meanings.

This class was neither extremely good or bad. I took it to cover the tier I historical perspectives requirement and I chose it because I find art more interesting than just a history of the world class. I had a hard time remembering dates, but found that I liked watching the paintings and other works of art progressing through the centuries all the way top the present. I found that I enjoyed renaissance work the best and also liked the baroque stage as well.

Final Grade: B+
