Note: Required of majors in the sophomore year. Enrollment limited to 15 students. An advanced course in critical writing about literature.
I took this course, because it is required of all English majors. In this course we went through analyzing short stories, poetry, dramas, and finally the novel Awakening by Kate Chopin. As we went through these different types of writing our paper lengths increased. I found that I enjoyed this class, especially because the professor used conferences on every paper with both her and our peers. I found this peer critiquing very helpful and loved the fact that every student got one on one conference time for every paper.
