Prerequisite: ENG 100 or ENG 100P And LAC student with T1A or T1LT course or GER student
This is a rigorous, nurturing introductory poetry and fiction workshop. Though students will read and discuss many masterful poems and short stories, the emphasis of the course, ultimately, is on generating, critiquing, and revising student work.
This course was extremely enjoyable, because it gave me an opportunity to stretch my writing muscles in forms that I haven’t experimented with in a long time. I also very much enjoyed the workshop style of the class. This style made the course very low stress and based entirely on peer editing. I thought that this course would also come in handy if I ever choose to branch out to the short story and poetry genre, or if I ever find myself editing short stories or poetry.
