Prerequisite:ENG100 and a 100 or 200-level literature course
Note: Meets the state requirements for secondary English certification.
A study of literature for adolescent readers. Aims to acquaint the student with both popular and enduring works, and provides close critical reading of both.
I originally took this course, because I had heard good things about the professor, Dr. Lisa Fraustino, and Adolescent novels are the type of writing that I want to someday specialize in. It was also very helpful to have a professor that is also a published author. This course also helped me on a project that I started this semester, because I took some of the elements found in adolescent literature and incorporated it into my current novel I am working on. Who knows, maybe one day I will publish this one.
