An exploration of scientifically-based understandings of the physiological, genetic, behavioral, social and cultural factors that support health and wellness. Includes an understanding of health risks and the various challenges to human health and wellness.
This course was originally chosen, because it has to be done in your first 30 credits and my high school gym teacher was teaching it. While I was not too interested in the subject matter, it was not a hard course. We went through the chapters as a class and did weekly journals on health topics. There was even one class that another one of my old high school teachers came to teach. She spent the class teaching some yoga, which I found very relaxing and enjoyable.
